General Manager

Job Full Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a General Manager for a local small light industrial business. The role provides leadership, operational structure, and accountability across the organization, ensuring the business runs efficiently and consistently while supporting long-term growth.


This is a full-time, onsite position based in Colorado Springs, CO.

Key Responsibilities

Business Management

• Lead, support, and develop a small team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance accountability
• Monitor budgets and financial performance, partnering with the owner to ensure responsible spending and steady cash flow
• Collaborate with marketing to support growth initiatives and align messaging with business priorities
• Help implement and maintain the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) framework to bring structure, clarity, and focus to operations
• Promote, model, and uphold company values across the organization
• Champion and protect company culture as the organization grows

Process Improvement

• Evaluate existing systems and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement
• Document, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, clarity, and efficiency
• Support automation efforts and system upgrades that improve daily operations and execution

Day-to-Day Operations

• Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow coordination
• Ensure smooth handoffs, clear communication, and reliable execution across teams
• Address issues and interruptions as they arise, including facility needs, customer concerns, and team support
• Create operational stability that allows the owner to step back from daily involvement and focus on long-term growth

Qualifications:

• Technology- and innovation-driven mindset
• Experience working in inventory and production environments
• Strong process improvement knowledge and operational optimization expertise
• Previous leadership experience with responsibility for financial performance, staff oversight, and technology systems
• Project management experience overseeing people, processes, and tools
• Knowledge of and enthusiasm for artificial intelligence, with a willingness to explore and implement AI across all areas of the business
• Familiarity with or experience implementing EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) and related software is a strong plus
• Direct and clear communicator
• Willing to hold team members accountable for the good of the business
• Innovative, forward-thinking mindset with a bias toward action
• Organized, reliable, and comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Primary operational software is the MoneyWorks platform; training will be provided
• Experience with EOS-related tools and software is highly desirable
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the duration of the work shift
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted

Base Salary: $85,000 annually, Bonus / Performance Incentives
