Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 - 19:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS required, CMSRN encouraged Must-Have: Candidates must have experience in medical telemetry. Description: The facility is licensed for 815 beds. Recognized as one of the best hospitals in the nation for clinical quality. The hospital has achieved an A grade for safety, highlighting its commitment to patient protection. It has also received Magnet Designation for nursing excellence. The facility serves as a referral center for trauma, comprehensive stroke care, and neonatal intensive care. It also operates the region's only children's hospital, including a pediatric emergency department. The hospital is recognized for its robotic surgery program. It is the only center in the region providing open heart and interventional cardiology services. Current unit features 36 beds with a multidisciplinary staff. The day shift staff consists of 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 3 CNAs, 1 healthcare unit coordinator, and 1-2 sitters. Current nurse-to-patient ratios on day shifts are 1:5 or 1:6. Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, 3 CNAs, and 1-2 sitters. Current nurse-to-patient ratios on night shifts are 1:6 or 1:7. The unit utilizes remote telemetry monitoring and electronic medical records for patient care. Candidates are expected to be hard-working, compassionate, and team-oriented. The hospital has specific weekend shift requirements for staff. The work environment is fast-paced and requires adaptability.
