Location: Dallas, Nashville, Chicago, Atlanta Title: US – Tax – Americas Tax Technology Group – Solutions Architect – Senior Manager Overview As a member of the Americas Tax Technology Group (ATTG), you will design, govern, and enable secure, compliant, and AI‑enabled solutions for Tax professionals. The role focuses on architecture that supports data‑driven management, workflow optimization, analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence, ensuring solutions are ready for production and deliver measurable business value. Key Responsibilities Ensure solution architecture aligns with organizational technology and business strategy, focusing on AI value realization goals. Drive decision‑making to harmonize and accelerate portfolio efforts, documenting trade‑offs across performance, cost, risk, and delivery timelines. Be accountable for architecture of products, including agentic and generative AI capabilities. Guarantee direction and implementation remain true to design, managing change via governance. Make informed build‑vs‑buy decisions through established evaluation processes. Route technology purchase requests in line with Global Procurement requirements. Specify approved technologies and tools, including AI safety controls. Collaborate with Solution Delivery Leadership and Business Technology Leadership on AI strategy and operating model. Assist in mapping business technology strategy to solution strategy, defining AI roadmaps and reusable components. Participate in rationalizing emerging AI standards and capabilities. Prepare technical solution options and advise on technical and business value. Develop standards and reference architectures to accelerate delivery through reusable actions. Identify programs to deliver architectural leverage and scale. Engage governance bodies to embed compliance through automation and policy enforcement. Design products and services for minimal human intervention, including CI/CD and rollback strategies. Ensure governance automation reduces manual process gates and supports traceability. Maintain compliance with standards for solution architecture and integration of building blocks. Define robust architectures for new applications, leveraging existing or new reusable components. Architect agentic AI capabilities: patterns, tool orchestration, planning, memory, and policy enforcement. Design multi‑agent workflows with task decomposition, coordination, conflict resolution, memory, and evaluation harnesses. Lead enterprise‑grade integration patterns: function calling, event‑driven flows, APIs, RAG pipelines, vector stores, streaming, and observability. Apply standards and protocols such as OpenAPI 3.1, Model Context Protocol, and A2A patterns. Leverage Microsoft Azure AI Foundry for scalable solutions. Skills & Attributes for Success Ensure production operations and reliability via Kubernetes or serverless hosting and incident response readiness. Ensure security and compliance by design: OAuth2/OIDC, secrets management, data boundaries, content filtering, PII handling/redaction. Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, advocate, and negotiate acceptable solutions. Work closely with studio and engineering teams to translate architecture into delivered value. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (computer science, engineering, accounting, finance preferred) or equivalent experience; master’s preferred. 10+ years of experience in solution/enterprise architecture and building enterprise software products; management experience a plus. Ability to articulate problems and solutions to technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Proactive in identifying issues and presenting solutions. Understanding of long‑term business objectives and suggestion of technical strategies. Strong experience with architectural styles and patterns (cloud‑native, microservices, event‑driven, API‑first). Experience architecting agentic or generative AI solutions. Experience with AI integration patterns (function calling, vector stores, streaming, observability). Experience with Microsoft Azure AI Foundry. Excellent knowledge of Agile/DevOps and strong CI/CD discipline. Track record of designing and releasing high‑quality enterprise‑level software products. Excellent decision‑making skills in fast‑paced environments. Strong analytical, prioritization, and troubleshooting skills; strong documentation for C‑level consumption. Experience designing and implementing hybrid cloud solutions. Strong security and compliance fundamentals. Comfortable communicating architecture at all levels and adjusting per requirements. Experience in Business Architecture is beneficial. Preferred Qualifications Understanding of tax law and technology implications. Experience integrating AI with enterprise data and applications such as Data Lakehouse and Power Platform. Experience with reliability engineering for AI systems.
