Project Coordinator

Job Summary A local construction company in Charleston, SC is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support active industrial facilities and infrastructure construction projects. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented project administration professional who enjoys organizing documentation, coordinating communication, and helping Project Managers keep projects moving efficiently. The Project Coordinator will work closely with Project Managers, field teams, subcontractors, architects, owners, and general contractors to ensure project records, submittals, RFIs, closeout documents, and correspondence are accurate, complete, and distributed on time. Key Responsibilities Coordinate day-to-day project documentation and administrative support for active construction projects. Manage the transmission, tracking, and organization of submittals, RFIs, potential change orders, directives, and related project correspondence. Maintain accurate project records, including as-builts, accepted submittals, testing requirements, compliance documents, and closeout materials. Prepare and organize job-specific O&M manuals and collect subcontractor O&M manuals for project closeout. Ensure emails, memos, faxes, conversation notes, and project updates are promptly distributed to appropriate internal teams and external stakeholders. Support Project Managers with reports, schedules, document control, and other construction-related coordination tasks as assigned. Compensation and Benefits Salary: $60,000 to $75,000 per year.
