Full-Time Assistant Store Manager (New Store),

When you join our team as an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll take on key store management responsibilities including assisting with supervising day-to-day store activities, ensuring overall store performance, managing schedules, and developing operational action plans while identifying training opportunities to develop and grow the team. Position Type: Full-Time Average Hours: 38 hours per week Starting Wage: $25.50 per hour Wage Increase: Year 2 - $26.50 per hour Work Location: Frisco, TX (Anticipated opening November 2026) Training Location: Employees will train at 6150 N Josey Lane, Lewisville, TX. ALDI will compensate for drive/mileage in accordance with our policy. Duties and Responsibilities Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Assists the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results. Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports. Identifies training and development opportunities that improve direct reports’ performance. Understands overarching company strategy, communicates and models core values to foster teamwork. Monitors competitive environment and informs the leader of necessary adjustments. Provides product feedback, recommending new items or discontinuation. Participates in interviewing for store personnel. Communicates weekly information, major milestones, developments, and concerns. Ensures staff adhere to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies. Handles operational customer concerns in the leader’s absence. Identifies and rectifies hazards, maintains ergonomics, and stores equipment. Maintains store cleanliness and signage. Assists in maintaining stock levels through appropriate ordering. Merchandises product to maximize sales. Ensures product quality, freshness, and accurate signage. Assists with payroll, loss budget, inventory counts, and new employee training. Supervises daily team operations, escalating issues as needed. Ensures direct reports complete responsibilities timely and effectively. Complies with company policies, maintaining security and confidentiality. Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands Ability to stock merchandise, lifting up to 45 pounds on shelving. Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk. Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations. Job Qualifications Must be 18 years or older. Can work independently and within a team. Provides prompt, courteous customer service. Develops rapport, trust, and open communication. Interprets and applies company policies. Sets goals and guides employee performance. Evaluates and drives performance of self and others. Understands budgeting, personnel costs, and expenses. Operates a cash register efficiently and accurately. Safely operates equipment (hand jack, floor scrubber, cardboard baler) and performs cleaning duties. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Stays organized, multi‑tasking, and detail‑oriented. Meets state and local alcohol handling requirements. Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum of 3 years of progressive retail experience. Combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge. Prior management experience preferred.
