Teacher Of The Visually ImpairedMake a difference every day by joining CCRES as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired through our partnership with the Chester County Intermediate Unit!Teacher of the Visually Impaired serves students birth through age 21 and provides assessment, instruction, consultation, and support to promote student access, independence, and success across school settings.Orientation & Mobility (O&M) certification is preferred but not required. Applicants without O&M certification are fully eligible and will not be disqualified.Compensation options:Hourly 1099 independent contractor rate: $80/hourSalaried w2 employee, 10-month position: $83,000 with paid time off and benefitsSchedule:Monday–Friday, 7.5 hours/day194 days/year (10-month position)Part-time contractor option availablePrimary responsibilities:Conduct functional vision assessments.Provide direct instruction aligned with IEP goals.Consult with families to support understanding of student needs and strengths.Consult with school personnel regarding appropriate accommodations, supports, and instructional access.Ensure students have appropriate access to visual materials and instructional content.Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs.
