Staff Accountant

Insight Global is seeking a Staff Accountant to support a well-established financial services organization with a collaborative and growth-oriented culture. This individual will serve as a key member of the Finance team and will support daily accounting operations, commission accounting, reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting activities across multiple business units. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and looking to grow their accounting career within a stable organization that values long-term employee development.

Day-to-Day
Code and record cash receipts in the accounting system
Prepare deposits, maintain check logs, and support mail processing functions
Review and reconcile carrier bonus statements
Finalize and verify cash receipt transactions
Prepare commission revenue accruals for multiple business units
Complete financial statement rollforwards and support monthly reporting
Assist with month-end accounting activities and reconciliations
Partner with various departments to support accounting and finance initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting OR 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience
1+ years of accounting experience
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Understanding of US GAAP principles
Experience with account reconciliations and financial reporting processes
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and critical-thinking abilities


Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Hands on experience with Great Plains
Interest in pursuing CPA certification
Experience with revenue accruals and commission accounting
Experience supporting month-end close activities
Prior experience within financial services, insurance, or professional services industries
