RN - MS Tele Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: New York license required in hand to submit Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Epic charting experience is a hard requirement Candidates may be floated to corresponding sister units. Candidates should possess skills in accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and more. Description:The average daily census is 23 patients.The patient‑to‑nurse ratio is 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night.The unit has a total of 30 beds and 17 rooms.Candidates will encounter various patient diagnoses, including cardiac, respiratory, COVID-19, infectious disease, pre and post‑operative, endocrine, and cerebrovascular accidents.The unit is a certified stroke center that accommodates both PCU and MedSurg/telemetry patients.Candidates with PCU training will be prioritized.The unit supports interdisciplinary care from physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary.Floating to corresponding sister units is required.Candidates must be able to manage dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, and substance withdrawal.Wound care and tracheostomy management are additional responsibilities.Daily visits average 3 per nurse.This position is primarily focused on adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient care. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
