Description Devereux Day Academy - Laguna Hills is seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to serve students in an elementary autism classroom. Starting 8/19/2026 $5,000 Sign-on Bonus for fully certfied teachers* This role focuses on delivering structured, evidence-based instruction designed to meet the academic, social, communication, and behavioral needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The Educational Specialist creates a safe, predictable, and supportive learning environment, collaborates with multidisciplinary team members and families, and implements individualized programming that promotes student growth, independence, and positive outcomes within a therapeutic educational setting. This program includes tuition and student loan repayment! #sponsored Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree and a valid California Mild/Moderate Disabilities Educational Specialist Instruction Credential, added Authorization Autism Spectrum Disorder (AAAS) or California Moderate/Severe Disabilities Educational Specialist Instruction Credential. Experience : Special Education instruction experience required. Experience working with students on the Autism Spectrum preferred. Experience with IEP documents and the IEP process. Strong classroom management skills.
