This position starts at a salary of $121,785.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $158,322.00 (GS-13, Step 10).

In this position you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), performing logistics management planning, data analysis, technical advice, and guidance on a variety of management information systems and logistical processes.

Major duties include but are not limited to:

• Developing, designing, and executing program plans for space, personal property management, fleet management, change management, health and safety, security, communication and wireless technology, time and attendance, and supply management activities.
• Monitoring management information systems, overseeing fleet and property management systems and procedures in Systems Applications and Products (SAP), and utilizing other tools to gather statistical data with dual focus on both immediate issues as well as long and short-range plans, policies, and programs in the direction of goals, objectives and priorities established by senior management, the Agency, the Commissioner, and Executive Orders.
• Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) to facilitate and support the acquisition and administration of OI's contracts. In this role, the incumbent will work closelywith the with contractors and Contracting Officers (CO).

Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:

• Monitoring management information systems, overseeing fleet and property management systems and procedures in Systems Applications and Products (SAP);
• Maintaining and controlling budget-related documents and their amendments;
• Analyzing data and generating report metrics required for use in the management and direction of programs;
• Maintaining, issues, and accounts for all aspects of government vehicle/fleet management, knowledgeable of all resources, facilities, equipment, supplies, and services required for each cost center.

You must:

• Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and
• Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 06/05/2026.

Residency: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by CBP. Individuals are required to have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates (as declared under international law) for at least three of the last five years. If you do not meet the residency requirement and you have been physically located in a foreign location for more than two of the last five years, you may request an exception to determine if you are eligible for a residency waiver by meeting one or more of the following conditions:

Probationary Period: All employees new to the federal government must serve a one year probationary period during the first year of his/her initial permanent federal appointment to determine fitness for continued employment. Temporary Assignment: To meet agency needs, this position will be filled on a temporary basis not-to-exceed (NTE) 1 year(s), with possible extension(s) for an additional 2 year(s). You may be returned, at any time, to the position you held prior to this temporary promotion or to a different position of equivalent grade and pay, and that the return is not subject to the procedures found in 5 C.F.R. §§ 351, 432, 752, and 771.

If you are currently at the grade level of the position announced, this action will result in a reassignment, and you may be returned at any time to a same or similar position held prior to this temporary assignment. Training: You will need to obtain at least a FAC-COR Level II certification in the first year and will become a FAC-COR Level III after two years of being FAC-COR Level II and completing the required training for certification.
