About the Role
The Company is in search of a VP of Real Estate Investments to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with the real estate investment team, joint venture partners, and property managers. This role involves conducting financial due diligence for acquisitions, reconciling and analyzing various accounting standards to assess asset performance, and providing oversight on accounting treatment. The VP will also be involved in reviewing monthly operating results, analyzing financial statements, and coordinating with external auditors and tax practitioners to ensure accurate reporting. Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years' of real estate accounting experience, with a strong understanding of historical cost GAAP and fair value reporting standards. Experience with complex real estate investment structures and various legal agreements is essential. The role requires the ability to manage consultants, meet deadlines, and ensure the quality of work. A CPA is a mandatory requirement for this position. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing outsourced staff, preparing and reviewing materials for internal and external stakeholders, and be a key point of contact for reporting issues.
