Hours Per Week 40 Job Description This role is open to both Certified Medical Assistant and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) candidates. What You'll Be Doing Getting Patients Ready to Shine: Prep charts, check vitals, and set the stage for great care. Hands‑On Clinical Work: Administer meds, give immunizations, collect specimens, and assist with minor procedures like wound care and suture removal. Tech Savvy & Detail‑Oriented: Keep patient records updated in the electronic medical records (EMR) system. Team Player Extraordinaire: Support providers, participate in team huddles, and help keep the clinic running smoothly. Patient Educator: Help patients understand their treatment plans, medications, and follow‑up care. What You Bring to the Table Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program. Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NRCMA, or CCMA) – required at time of hire and must be maintained. Certification: Current BLS Certification (or ability to obtain before starting). Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of POCT, immunizations, and injections. Strong Problem‑Solving Skills: Think on your feet and adapt quickly. Excellent Organization & Time Management: Keep things running smoothly. Customer Service: Treat patients with comfort and care. Tech‑Savvy: Comfortable with Microsoft applications and EMR systems. Radiology Certification (if applicable): Must have radiology training or a validated competency checklist if the role requires X‑ray functions. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) From conducting assessments and collecting patient data to administering medications and documenting care, you’ll play a key role in delivering excellent healthcare. This role is ideal for someone passionate about patient care and ready to work in dynamic environments. What You’ll Do Provide Compassionate Care: Deliver nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse in a variety of settings, including acute care, long‑term care, home health, and ambulatory care. Assess & Document: Perform patient assessments, collect data, and document care with precision. Administer Medications & Treatments: Ensure medications and treatments are properly administered and documented, following protocols. Collaborate & Communicate: Work with a dedicated healthcare team to support patients and ensure optimal care. Follow Standards: Perform duties in alignment with the Missouri State Board of Nurse Practice Act. What You Need to Bring Education: Graduation from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program. Licensure: Current license as a practical nurse in the State of Missouri. Certification: Certified in Basic Life Support (BCLS).
