Qualifications Minimum 1 year of LVN experience Previous nursing experience in a corrections setting is preferred American Heart Association BLS Applicant must be able to pass a background check before starting work 13-week contract with block booking Various unit security levels available for travel Correctional Nurse contracts in Texas LVNs have the option to stay where they are or move to a new location when extending their Correctional Nursing contract with SHC Duties will include but are not limited to medication administration, immunizations, admissions, and emergency first aid *Estimated weekly payment may include both taxable wages and tax‑free reimbursements for meals, housing, and incidentals.
