Position summary:

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for customer service and business oversights for all non-instructional activities and programs at KC Excel Fitness Center. The Shift Supervisor is also responsible for managing membership and sales at the fitness center.

Position responsibilities:

• Oversee evening operations, ensuring facility security and closing procedures.
• Handle daily cash transactions and reconcile cash drawer at closing.
• Oversee the use and maintenance of fitness center software for memberships and check-ins.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for evening customer service issues and escalations.
• Assist in the training and onboarding of new part-time employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support KCX operations.

Minimum Position Requirements:

• Previous experience in fitness center operations, customer service, or administration preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of cash handling procedures and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fitness management software.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Flexible to work day, evening, and/or weekend hours, as needed

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Must be able to lift heavy equipment.
• Physically demanding tasks

Safety:

• Provide resources for safe operation of units. Create and support workplace safety.

Salary Range & Fringe Benefits:

• The rate of pay is up to $10-$12 per hour depending on experience.
• Worker’s compensation
• Participation in the retirement program through Teacher Retirement System of Texas

All full-time positions are located in Kilgore, TX. No fully work from home positions are available at this time. All employees must be available to physically present to work on the Kilgore, TX or Longview, TX Campus. Some Part-Time and Adjunct positions may be offsite but the candidate MUST live in the State of Texas.

Positions will remain open until filled. Some Adjunct and Part-Time teaching positions may remain open perpetually as the need for part time instructors fluctuates with student enrollment. Teaching positions will be required to submit official transcripts upon an offer of employment. An offer of employment will be contingent upon passing a background check.
