Production Technician

Production TechnicianWe are looking for a hands-on Production Technician to build small electronic and mechanical parts. This role involves cable assembly, soldering, and basic testing work. You will follow drawings and instructions and work as part of a small, friendly production team in a clean, first-shift environment.What You Will DoAssemble small electronic and mechanical parts using hand toolsBuild cable harnesses by cutting, stripping, crimping, routing, and soldering wiresPerform soldering on electronic parts and cables (fine, detailed work)Work with fiber-optic components when requiredRead and follow electrical and mechanical drawings and work instructionsMeasure and check parts using calipers, gauges, and tape measuresTest assemblies using meters, cable testers, and pull testersEnter basic production and test data into the computerFollow safety and quality rules, including ESD practicesKeep your work area clean and organizedWork closely with team members to meet daily production goalsMust-Have SkillsExperience assembling small parts in a production or manufacturing environmentHands-on experience with cable or wire harness assemblyAt least 6 months of soldering experienceAbility to read and understand electrical or mechanical drawingsExperience using hand tools (wire strippers, crimpers, soldering iron, heat gun)Good attention to detail and qualityBasic computer and data entry skillsComfortable working as part of a teamThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Johnstown, PA.The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $20.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
