Board-Certified Interventional RadiologistWe are seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to provide on-site clinical services at the VA New York Harbor Health System in Brooklyn. This position is ideal for a highly skilled physician passionate about delivering exceptional, patient-centered care in a mission-driven healthcare environment serving U.S. Veterans.The Interventional Radiologist will perform a wide range of image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure high-quality outcomes in accordance with American College of Radiology (ACR) standards and VA clinical guidelines.Candidates must be available for on-call shifts to include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform a full spectrum of interventional radiology procedures, including:Image-guided biopsies, drainages, and catheter placementsVascular access procedures and interventionsAngioplasty, stenting, and thrombolysisEmbolization proceduresDialysis access managementParacentesis, thoracentesis, and biliary interventionsProvide comprehensive pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient careComplete consults, procedures, and medical documentation in a timely mannerParticipate in on-call coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysRespond to urgent calls within required response timesMaintain accurate documentation within the VA electronic health record systemCollaborate with VA physicians, residents, nurses, and clinical staffCommunicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams regarding test results and treatment plansParticipate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiativesAdhere to all VA policies, HIPAA regulations, and ACR practice standardsRequired QualificationsBoard Certification in Interventional Radiology through the American Board of RadiologyActive, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territoryCurrent DEA registrationValid National Provider Identifier (NPI)Active BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)Demonstrated technical expertise in interventional radiology proceduresStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environmentExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient careProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applicationsAbility to successfully complete the AMI credentialing processInclusion & Cultural CompetencyUtilize appropriate methods for interacting effectively and professionally with persons of all ages and from diverse cultural socioeconomic, educational, racial, and ethnic, sexual orientations, lifestyles, and physical abilities.Deliver targeted, culturally appropriate information to help individuals and groups understand health promotion and disease prevention information, policies, regulations, and local code.EEO StatementAMI provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds to participate in its employment practices.
