Anesthesiology Physician

Locum Physician Anesthesiologist in Dover, OH

Shift: 24-hour call coverage (7:00 PM 7:00 PM / 7:00 AM 7:00 AM as scheduled)
Position Highlights:

• Provide anesthesia coverage in an urban acute care hospital .
• Work alongside experienced CRNAs in a collaborative operating room environment.
• Diverse general anesthesia case mix with OR, ER, and Labor & Delivery coverage.

Patient Population: Adolescent and adult patients.

Setting: Urban hospital.

Responsibilities:

• Provide general anesthesia services for inpatient surgical cases.
• Cover OR, Emergency Department, and Labor & Delivery during scheduled call.
• Supervise CRNAs as needed while serving as first-call anesthesiologist.
• Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative patient care.

Required Procedures:

• General anesthesia.
• Cases including general surgery, orthopedic surgery (non-spine), urology, podiatry, colonoscopy, and obstetrics.
• ER and OB anesthesia coverage.

EMR System: Epic.

Support Staff: CRNAs, surgical teams, nursing staff, and operating room personnel.

Days Per Month: Coverage as scheduled; initial need begins July , 2026.

On-Call/Weekends: 24-hour first-call coverage with ER, OR, and OB responsibilities. Callback volume varies based on patient activity.

• Board Certified in Anesthesiology (or Board Eligible if within five years of training).
• Active Ohio medical license required.
• DEA certification required.
