Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Kansas City, Missouri. This position involves providing care to patients undergoing a variety of medical and surgical treatments within a specialized unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Kansas City, Missouri
• Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Schedule: 3 weekend shifts per month
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; education requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS); no experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical-surgical care, nephrology, kidney transplants, renal, and dialysis.
• Additional Information: Virtual nurse completes patient admissions while bedside nurses can focus on their other patients. Unit specific policies and guidelines are available. The unit features 20 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6, staffed with a unit secretary during the day, available patient care technicians, and a unit educator. Equipment includes documentation systems such as Meditech. Dress code is royal blue scrubs, with black scrub pants permissible.
