Job Title Commercial Litigation Associate Location New York, NY About the Firm A prominent New York-based law firm specializing exclusively in real estate law for more than five decades. The firm provides dedicated representation to developers, property owners, institutional clients, and other major participants in the New York real estate market. Its litigation team has built a strong reputation for aggressive and effective advocacy in a wide range of high-value commercial disputes, construction matters, and complex real estate conflicts. What You’ll Be Doing Draft and argue motions in complex commercial litigation matters Take and defend depositions in real estate and construction-related disputes Manage discovery processes, including document production and e‑discovery platform review Prepare witnesses for hearings, trials, arbitrations, and other proceedings Participate in trials, evidentiary hearings, and negotiate settlements to achieve favorable client resolutions What They’re Looking For Minimum 5 years of complex commercial litigation experience, with preference for real estate or construction law matters Hands‑on experience managing all stages of litigation from pre‑trial through resolution Strong research, writing, and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to craft persuasive arguments Thorough knowledge of New York civil procedure and court practices Excellent communication, interpersonal abilities, and capacity to manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment What’s on Offer Competitive base salary of $220,000 – $250,000 (adjusted based on experience and other factors) Exposure to sophisticated, high‑stakes real estate litigation and construction disputes Significant responsibility, client interaction, and opportunities for courtroom advocacy Collaborative, growth‑oriented firm culture with strong emphasis on professional development Comprehensive benefits package and recognition as a top workplace in the legal industry #J-18808-Ljbffr Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment
