Marketing Intern

THE ROLE This isn't a behind-a-desk internship. We need someone outgoing and comfortable talking to strangers, taking fitness classes, joining run clubs, etc — someone who can represent FOOTWORK out in the field, at events, and across our social channels. You'll be a key part of how the local community discovers and connects with FOOTWORK. What You'll Do Partnerships/Corporate Sales: Go out into the field to pitch and sell FOOTWORK to local businesses, gyms, and corporate wellness programs, building relationships that turn into partnerships. Community Events: Help plan and execute community events from start to finish: logistics, communications, and being present and engaging onsite. Social Media: Support content creation, posting, and community engagement across FOOTWORK's social platforms, helping bring our brand voice to life online. WHY FOOTWORK? Who You Are Outgoing and comfortable initiating conversations with new people Passionate about fitness and wellness, you get the runner/hiker/gym-goer mindset and can speak to it authentically Organized and reliable, especially when coordinating event logistics Comfortable being the face of the brand in person, not just online Interested in marketing, sales, or community building - prior experience is a plus, but attitude matters more Based in or near San Mateo, CA, with reliable transportation for local fieldwork and events Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with team members and customers. Candidates should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be proficient with common productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software) and comfortable learning new digital platforms.
