Job Summary & Responsibilities

As a Bulk Tanker Driver, you will deliver anhydrous ammonia and ammonium hydroxide products to local customers on a scheduled or intermittent route within a 350-mile radius.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely perform Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) specifically related to the handling and loading/unloading of hazardous cargo.
• Maintain load manifests and vehicle documents, ensuring accuracy and proper balancing before and after deliveries.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any deficiencies to ensure all safety items are in top working order.
• Communicate professionally in person with customers regarding deliveries and inquiries.
• Drive hazardous cargo safely for up to 8 hours per shift and strictly observe all safety rules.
• Must be able to work overtime and/or some overnight stays may be required on a limited basis.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be at least 25 years old .
• Class A CDL with  Tanker and Hazmat endorsements required before your hire date (or ability to get the certification during the onboarding process).
• Minimum of 2 years of Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) experience within the last 4 years. (Graduation from an accredited truck driving school with a diploma counts as 1 year of this required experience).
• Clean driving record:
• No preventable accidents of any kind in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 minor tickets in the previous 3 years.
• No serious violation tickets (speeding 15+, reckless driving, etc.) in the previous 3 years.
• No CDL suspensions in the previous 3 years (except for failure to pay child support).
• No DUI in the last 7 years.
• Physical ability to lift 60 lbs. or more and handle frequent bending.
• Must meet all regulatory physical qualification standards for drivers and be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
• Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
• Basic computer experience (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior Tanker experience is highly preferred.
