Phlebotomist

PhlebotomistReporting to the Director of Laboratory this position obtains blood samples for lab testing purposes. Clerical duties associated with charting and paper work. Performs some tests under supervision of medical technologists. Retrieves and distributes reports according to procedure. This position also requires the use of your own vehicle, either as a courier or to do phlebotomy at other locations. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Corona Regional Medical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values. The employee shall support Corona Regional Medical Center strategic plan and the goals and direction of the performance improvement plan.Qualifications Knowledge of typing and laboratory computer systems preferred. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION Associate degree in Science or MLT (ASCP) preferred. REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS Current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) required. Current BCLS (CPR) certificate required.
