Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in Labor and Delivery required License: Current nursing license Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Must-Have: Previous Labor and Delivery experience is required Description: This position involves providing care in a Labor and Delivery unit. The shift is from 19:00 to 07:00. Weekend work is required based on unit needs, typically every other weekend. Travelers may need to float to other units as necessary. On-call requirements include one shift every six weeks. The patient ratio is approximately 1:4 during labor and delivery stages. Experience with EPIC charting system is preferred. Candidates should possess skills such as administration of blood products, support with breastfeeding, and neonatal resuscitation. The position requires effective communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary support staff. Travelers will be required to complete facility-specific training modules. All candidates must be committed to providing safe and high-quality patient care. This role is crucial for supporting women and families during labor and delivery.
