As a Security Officer - Part Time Shopping Mall Patrol in Escondido, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail mall location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support shoppers, tenants, and staff with strong customer service and communication. DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 09:00 PMWed04:00 PM - 08:00 PMSun04:00 PM - 08:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with management, tenants, and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefronts, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential issues.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support access control, observe daily activity, and report maintenance, policy, and/or security-related concerns.
- Document incidents, patrol activity, and notable observations in required reports, logs, and/or electronic systems according to site expectations.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
