Labcorp is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our team in Spokane, WA. Location: Spokane, WA. Work Schedule: Wednesday – Saturday, 4:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (overtime and additional days or hours may be required). Job Responsibilities Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria. Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures. Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality. Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving. Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls. Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care. Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures. Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary. Assist with processing of specimens when needed. Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science, Medical Technology ASCP or AMT certification or Certified Toxicologist. Preferred Qualifications 1 year prior experience in a Clinical Lab. 6 months experience and familiarity with laboratory information systems. 6 months or more experience with LCMSMS, GCMS, GCFID and/or ICPMS testing. Additional Job Standards High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills; both written and verbal. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Pay Range: $27.77 – $37.00 hourly, plus third shift differentials. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
