Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist experienced in craniotomies and neurosurgery for a hospital OR position.

Hospital Surgery department position

3x12-hour AM shifts, 36 hours per week (0630-1900)

No on-call requirements

BLS certification required

Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology

National Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists (NBSTSA)

Washington State Surgical Technologist license required if applicable

Experience with craniotomies and neurosurgery required

Serve as a vital member of the OR team in the scrub role during surgical procedures

Maintain a safe environment using aseptic technique per AORN standards and facility policy

Set up and maintain sterile fields and assist surgical team members

Demonstrate proficiency with surgical instruments, suture, stapling devices, and equipment across a variety of services

Prepare for cases according to surgeon preference cards and procedure requirements

Accurately perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts at appropriate times

Properly identify and handle specimens per department policy

Recognize and report faulty equipment or unsafe conditions

Demonstrate ability to respond effectively to emergency situations
