Your Day at MacLean-Fogg

Step onto the floor of our Mooresville, NC plant and take ownership of a screw machine cell. You’ll start your shift reviewing work orders and blueprints, dialing in feeds and speeds, and confirming first-piece quality with calibrated gauges. Through the afternoon and evening, you’ll keep parts flowing, document your results, and make on-the-fly adjustments to maintain consistency and uptime—all while practicing 5S and strict safety standards.

• Schedule: 2nd Shift, 1:45 PM–10:00 PM
• Pay: $21.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
• Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Independently operate mechanical screw machining equipment to meet safety, quality, and throughput targets.
• Inspect parts in-process, verifying they meet specifications and quality-control standards.
• Diagnose operating issues and perform intermediate-level troubleshooting and adjustments to stabilize performance.
• Interpret blueprints as needed for the job at hand.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and other required gauges to confirm product requirements.
• Accurately complete production and quality records and all other required documentation.
• Keep your workstation organized to 5S standards.
• Comply with all safety, environmental, and quality procedures and policies.

What You Bring

• 2–5 years in a closely related machining or screw machine role.
• Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain productivity.
• Comfort reading work instructions and following written and verbal direction.
• Solid math, written, and verbal communication abilities.
• Competence with measuring tools and gaging instruments.
• Ability to resolve more complex equipment problems within role scope.
• Broad, hands-on knowledge of screw machine operations and related production practices.

Working Conditions

This is a manufacturing-floor role requiring prolonged standing; repeated lifting up to 50 pounds; pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds; frequent bending and stooping; fine motor dexterity for small components; and comfort working in a noisy environment.
