Description

• Assess individuals across all populations, utilizing standardized tests and observational methods to tailor your approach.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that address both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Implement one-on-one speech therapy strategies concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams including physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure integrated treatment plans.
• Provide guidance and education to patients and families to aid progress beyond clinical interactions.
• Support the occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation that meets all organizational, state, and federal regulations.
• Enhance your knowledge and skills through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology acquired from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly regarded.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be secured within 30 days of commencing employment.
