Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, using both standardized tests and observational methods.
• Devise tailored treatment strategies that align with both immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Implement individualized speech therapy sessions targeting language, fluency, voice, and swallowing improvements.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, caregivers, and families, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Educate patients and their families, providing resources and strategies to promote advancement beyond therapy sessions.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless experience throughout the care continuum.
• Deliver timely and accurate documentation in accordance with relevant guidelines at state, federal, and organizational levels.
• Engage in continual professional development and knowledge sharing with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Possess state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be completed within 30 days of hire.
