HX5 is currently seeking Security Support Specialists for Simulator Common Architecture and Requirements (SCARS) efforts within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Advanced Training Capabilities Division (AFLCMC/WNR) in Miamisburg, Ohio. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide day‑to‑day security support for classified programs, including Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Programs (SAP), while ensuring compliance with DoD and Air Force security policies. Manage personnel security clearances, classified information, physical security, facility access, visitor control, and security databases to protect sensitive assets. Monitor and respond to security systems and alarms, conduct inspections, support SCIF/SAPF operations, and coordinate with law enforcement or facility personnel when required. Develop and maintain security procedures, provide classification guidance, perform document reviews, and support security awareness training and education programs. Maintain accountability for classified materials through inventories, audits, records management, secure storage, distribution, and compliance inspections. Apply knowledge of security regulations, counterintelligence threats, DISS, SCI/SAP operations, and Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) responsibilities while supporting multiple stakeholders. Demonstrate strong communication, technical proficiency, independent judgment, and flexibility to support 24/7 operations, travel requirements, and dynamic security environments with minimal supervision. Education and Experience: Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and three (3) years of directly related experience. Five (5) years of directly related experience. Other Position Requirements: Proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position. Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation. Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire. Must be able to travel, including air travel.
