Apply now.A Brief Summary of This PositionThis position is an individual contributor position and will be responsible for the shipping and receiving of product with certification of proper mobile equipment. This individual will be required to operate equipment to move material including forklifts.Essential FunctionsMust demonstrate good literacy skillsBe able to create Manifest For Hazardous MaterialsResponsible for incoming product being received and proper signage on paperwork.Responsible for product storage in warehouseResponsible for inventory count on materialResponsible for inspection of material received.Responsible for six-point inspections of finished product prior to shipping.Be able to create and read tags, bills of lading, and shipping and receiving papersKnowledge of department and plant processesCertification of mobile equipment usedPerform safety auditsTrain new employeesParticipates in Lean manufacturing, Gemba and 5SAbility to accurately use and read a tape measureAbility to drive and operate a forkliftAbility to work overtime as required to meet business needsDemonstrates the ability of attention to detail of product and processesMaintains an attitude that unlawful or unethical actions are not acceptedPerforms other duties directed by leaders and managementActively participate in department safety, demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors, which conform to all Valmont safety policy and proceduresBenefitsValmont offers employees and their families a comprehensive Total Wellbeing benefit package to ensure their individual and family's overall wellness needs are met.
