Role Description The Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Manatí, Puerto Rico. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling accounts. The Accountant will prepare financial statements and reports, assist with budgeting and forecasting, payroll and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. Daily responsibilities also include processing accounts payable and receivable, monitoring cash flow, and supporting audits and financial reviews. The role involves close collaboration with leadership and administrative staff to provide accurate financial information that supports decision-making and sustainable hospice operations. Qualifications Strong skills in general accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. Experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis in a healthcare setting is preferred. Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office applications (especially Excel) and Sage 50 for data management and reporting. Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, local regulations, and basic tax principles applicable in Puerto Rico. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management, with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
