Production Control Coordinator

Full Time Professional Vermillion, SD, US General JOB Description The Production Control Coordinator will report to the Production Control Manager & Operations Analyst and will manage all aspects of MASABA’s manufacturing operations to surpass customer expectations. The Production Control Coordinator will manage the people, processes and the output of the following departments: Saw, Small Parts, Fabrication, Welding & Fabrication, Paint, General Assembly, shipping and scheduling. The Production Manager will develop, measure and report key metrics regarding operational efficiency, scheduling accuracy, quality, safety, labor utilization and scrap. The Production Manager will also be responsible for continuous improvement activities and process improvement. The Production Control Coordinator will also: Analyze and communicate work procedures to identify and mitigate hazards Ensure safety operating procedures are in place and are observed. Ensure individuals working have proper safety equipment and personal protective equipment to perform their work safely. Hire, counsel and terminate personnel as required in concert with HR department and all applicable US laws Curtail or stop work being carried out if reasonably believed that continuation of the work poses an imminent danger to health or safety. Job DUTIES Plan, schedule resources and supervise the production process Oversee plant operations and maintenance to ensure compliance with applicable operating and safety standards & regulations Develop / refine performance measures Supervise and document individual performance of team leaders and support staff Develop and implement approved operating plans Identify and mitigate process inefficiencies to improve cost, quality and delivery Drive premium quality in all components and equipment produced Ensure employee follow all applicable safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly. Ensure work orders processed through MRP system. Ability to climb, bend, kneel, crouch or stoop to perform various functions of the position. Ability to reach with hands and arms. Ability to work independently. Must be able to read and understand English. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Ability to work standing on hard surface (e.g. concrete) for long periods of time in hot or cold environment. Good hand and eye coordination. Must be able to read and interpret basic blueprints. Must be able to perform basic shop math functions and use standard measuring devices. Other duties as assigned. work experience requirements Minimum of six years experience in manufacturing, process flow, scheduling and people management. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
