Systems Engineer

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Make the world’s most advanced Strategic Fire Control System even smarter!

As a Systems Engineer for Strategic Weapon Control, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for coordinating development of a subsystem upgrade to a submarine Fire Control System.

• Fire Control Systems (FCS) experience
• System requirements; documentation management, testing, verification, and validation
• Systems Design and Development including Hardware and software integration; planning, testing, troubleshooting, and report generation
• Engineering leadership; excellent communication and presentation skills, cross-discipline engineering knowledge, design review package generation, and developing customer intimacy
• Introducing and managing modernization technical initiatives by integrating complex technical scope across a team with varying technical goals
• Generating white papers for informing the strategic community about the introduction of new technologies
• Mentoring engineering leaders across technical and project management topics

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $100,219.00 - USD $111,180.00 /Yr.
