Technical Writer II

Technical Writer IIOur client, a Business Manufacturing And Supply company, is looking for a Technical Writer II for their Glendale, AZ location. Responsibilities include improving existing and developing new technical documentation for use by manufacturing and engineering teams. Documentation creation involves developing and improving work instructions, standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and job aids. Collaboration with subject matter experts, engineers, and operations is required to gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation. Research involves investigating and analyzing technical information from various sources to create comprehensive documentation that meets user needs. Editing and proofreading documentation for clarity, consistency, and adherence to company style guidelines is also part of the role. Basic project management includes planning, scheduling, and tracking progress to meet deadlines and quality standards.Requirements include a bachelor's degree in English, communication, technical writing, engineering, or science fields (preferred). An associate's degree or HS diploma/GED with significant technical writing experience may be considered. Three or more years of technical writing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, is required. Experience with ISO 9001 and AS9100 is a must. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams) is required. PTC Windchill system experience is a plus. Ability to understand technical processes being documented, with optics knowledge being a plus, is necessary. Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner, are essential. Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all documentation produced is required. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, adapting to changing project requirements and deadlines, is also necessary.Why should you apply?
