Location : Onsite - Glendale, AZ, 85301

Pay Rate $ 38/hr on W2

Duration: 12 Months

Work hours: (M - F, 8am - 5pm)

  About the Role

Join Clients’s innovative Glendale, AZ manufacturing team as a Technical Writer II. Play a vital role in creating and enhancing technical documentation that supports engineering and manufacturing teams. This full-time, onsite position offers a structured workweek (M-F, 8am–5pm) and the chance to collaborate closely with industry experts, expanding your technical knowledge and documentation expertise in a dynamic production environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update work instructions, standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and job aids for manufacturing and engineering use.
• Interview subject matter experts, engineers, and operations personnel to gather technical information and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Research and analyze complex technical data to create clear, comprehensive, and user-focused documentation.
• Edit and proofread content to maintain clarity, consistency, and adherence to company style guidelines.
• Manage documentation projects by planning, scheduling, and tracking progress to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Technical Writing, Engineering, or Science (Associate’s degree or HS Diploma/GED with significant technical writing experience will be considered).
• Minimum of 3 years’ technical writing experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and AS9100.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and document technical processes.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Skills

• PTC Windchill system experience.
• Knowledge of optics.
