Cardiovascular Technologist – OR CVOR Tech | Kansas City, KS, United States
This travel assignment supports cardiovascular operating room services in an acute-care setting. Start date: 07/19/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay ranges from $2,181 to $2,373 per week. Shift is 4x10-hour days. The role focuses on cardiac surgical cases in the CVOR suite, with duties across circulating and scrub responsibilities and collaboration with the surgical team.

Responsibilities
- Provide intraoperative support as circulating and scrub personnel for cardiac procedures in the CVOR suite, maintaining sterile technique and instrument handling
- Prepare the CVOR environment, confirm required instruments and equipment, position and drape patients, and coordinate with anesthesia and perfusion teams
- Manage instrument counts, specimen handling, and rapid room turnover between cases; assist with equipment setup and troubleshooting during procedures
- Maintain clear communication with the surgical team to anticipate needs, track case progression, and document intraoperative events per policy
- Support multiple cardiac surgeries per shift, remaining adaptable to variable case length and complexity; participate in on-call coverage as required

Requirements
- Active CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Minimum 2 years CVOR experience in a level 1 trauma center with circulating experience and demonstrated strong scrub experience on cardiac surgeries
- Ability to work in a CVOR environment with 10-hour day shifts; travel assignment eligibility
- Willingness to work/take call on holidays; weekend rotation (1 weekend per month) and on-call responsibilities
- Nicotine-free environment; successful completion of CVOR questionnaire; credentials due Monday 1 week prior to start
