Sr. MRI Scrub Tech - Radiology Technologist, Operating Room (OR) - Day Shift - Barnes

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full‑Time Senior MRI Technologist – Operating Room (Day Shift) for Barnes‑Jewish Hospital – New Plaza West Tower (St. Louis, MO). Position Details

Day Shift Hours: 3 days per week at 12‑hour shifts Interventional & surgical MRI procedures, providing critical imaging support across a variety of OR cases Advanced Modality Technologist position Surgical environment Siemens MRI machines Training will occur on day shift 5 days per week for about 3 months before moving to the rotating schedule Requirements Associate degree or higher in a related field Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography – R.T.(R) and/or MR 2 years' experience Preferred Experience MRI and/or OR experience (preferred) Responsibilities Prepares patient and equipment for procedures Performs studies independently, in on‑call situations, portable exams, and other sites as required by work area Assists with regulatory compliance for the department (ACR, JC) and maintains up‑to‑date regulatory information Oversees department quality assurance program under the direction of the Clinical Instructor or Lead/Charge Participates in departmental or hospital safety/quality process improvements and initiatives Leads the team in improving patient experience and/or improving employee engagement Mentors new employees and/or clinical students under the direction of the Clinical Instructor Performs all responsibilities of a Lead/Lead Technologist in the absence of the lead Minimum Requirements Associate or trade school equivalent education. 2–5 years experience. No supervisor experience required.
