This role will collaborate with and influence key stakeholders in engineering, sourcing, operations, and in specific business units within Carrier. The ideal candidate will have technical, and cost knowledge required to understand the impacts of design, supply chain, and manufacturing changes on the material cost of parts, subassemblies, and finished products.Key ResponsibilitiesChampion and lead VAVE activities and global cost reduction initiatives across Carrier's multiple business units.Plan, lead and facilitate the execution of VAVE cost events, coordinating, and indirectly leading resources across the global business units to achieve material productivity targets for the organization.Provide subject-matter expertise in product design for value and cost, and assist in the evaluation, scoping, and maturing of key cost-out projects as identified during the year.Deliverables will include developing a project pipeline process of vetted, ready-to-implement cost-savings opportunities for the business.Required QualificationsAssociate's degree with 7+ Years of experience in material productivity or Bachelor's degree with 3+ Years of experience in material productivity.2+ years of experience with Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE), product cost reduction, material cost optimization, or cost savings initiatives.Up to 25% travel to global sites to lead and facilitate cost reduction eventsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering, or similar technical trackComfortable leading events with large numbers of participants from engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and supplier representativesIntermediate Program Management experience, developing and executing program plans with product development and/or cost reduction initiatives, resource planning, and budgetingExperience with should costing software tools like aPriori, Tset or similar software tools also would be beneficial.Strong experience working with factories in implementing mechanical or electrical designs. Experience analyzing Bill of Materials (BOMs), drawings, etc.Experience leading, planning, and facilitating VAVE events.Creativity and innovative thinking will be key to success in this roleStrong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills and ability to work across organizational functions including Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, and OperationsKnowledge of industry suppliers, fabricators, and other resources that can be evaluated for potential opportunities would be a plusStrong facilitation, team building, collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsAbility to prepare and deliver key program metrics and internal/external presentationsExperience in product development engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing are all beneficial.PTC Creo experienceMRP ExperienceProficiency in MS Office including Word, PowerPoint and ExcelLocation & Work ArrangementPreferred Locations: Palm Beach Gardens, FL | Charlotte, NC | Indianapolis, IN | Fort Wayne, IN | Syracuse, NYRemote Flexibility: Flexible remote options are available for candidates based in the Eastern (EST) or Central (CST) time zones.Relocation: Relocation assistance is available.Pay RangeThe annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $192,000.00 annually.
