Join Our Dynamic ICU Team!

Job Description:


- Shift Type: 12-Hour Days
- Schedule: Every other weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun)
- Start Date: 12/7 - Limited December Orientation
- Nursing Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Licensed for 44 beds, currently utilizing 36 beds
- Ratios: 1:2 or 1:1 for optimal patient care
- Required Certifications:
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- CCRN preferred
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner PowerChart
- Charge Nurse: Yes, no patient assignment
- Support Staff:
- Unit tech available for secretary duties, equipment management, etc.
- No nurse aides present
- Weekend & Holiday Requirements:
- Expected to work during holiday rotations
- Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs
- Monitoring:
- 44 hardwired GE monitors
- Monitor tech available, no centralized monitoring
- Common Patient Diagnoses:
- Cardiac, PCI, Open Heart, Sepsis, ETOH, Stroke, CABG, stents, balloon pumps, craniotomies, and more
- Travelers will not handle fresh open heart or craniotomy cases
- Minimum Experience:
- 3 years preferred or 2+ years from a large institution
- Prior travel experience is beneficial
- Additional Notes:
- Focused on patient satisfaction
- Candidates must be skilled, competent, and compassionate
- Float Policy:
- Floating to Telemetry & ER for ICU holds
- Orientation:
- 1-day ICU orientation plus 1 shift on Tele/stepdown unit
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
