Flex Medical Assistant

Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers is looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Flex Medical Assistant to join our oncology team in our Chandler office! Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers: Beautiful state-of-the-art integrated Cancer and Women's Centers Location: Chandler, Arizona Travel Required Full-Time | Day Shift | Competitive Pay + Benefits
What You'll Do:
- Travel between offices reliable transportation required
- Rotate across multiple clinics, physicians and/or departments
- Prepare and sanitize exam rooms before and between patients
- Room patients and record vital signs and assessments
- Manage patient charts and electronic medical records (EMR)
- Handle phone calls, referrals, and patient result notifications
- Set up orders for transfusions, hospital admissions, phlebotomy, and more
- Monitor prescription folders and assist with drug replacement programs
- Coordinate special testing and physician requests
- Start and end times may vary based on need of scheduled office
- Extensive administration support functions
What We're Looking For:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)- Only candidates who currently hold a valid Medical Assistant certification or the ability to obtain within 90 days will be considered
- 1-2 years of MA experience in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to adapt to different teams, workflows and needs of the clinic
- Strong communication, organizational and customer service skills
- Compassionate, team-oriented, and adaptable personality
- EMR experience and computer proficiency
- Self-starter, takes initiative, positive, professional attitude with a team-first mindset and a passion for oncology care
