Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU/Step Down Float

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a PCU/Step Down Float RN. This position involves working in multiple unit settings, addressing the dynamic needs of a variety of patient populations.

Position Overview

• Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours (from 19:00 to 07:30)
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: Varies from 1:4 to 1:6, depending on unit acuity

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings including telemetry, medical-surgical, and emergency room boarded patients.
• Float to different units as necessary to support patient care needs.
• Take on charge nurse responsibilities when assigned to specific small units, including managing staffing requirements, enhancing bed flow, and coordinating patient care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Must have prior nursing experience in the United States; Canadian experience is not considered sufficient.
• Charge nurse experience is required.
• Ability to adapt to different unit environments and patient care needs.
• Experience with electronic health records, preferably EPIC.
