· Serve as the primary point of contact between patients, surgeons, and operating facilities.

·  Accurately schedule, pre-screen and pre-register patients for practice.

·  Coordinate surgical procedures with physician/s, patients, and surgical facilities.

·  Maintain and manage surgical schedules, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

·  Explains the outpatient registration process to the patient during scheduling encounters.

·  Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits for surgical services. Follow all established protocols for necessary authorizations. Obtains pre- authorizations for procedures.

· Track surgical authorizations and collaborate with the authorization team to ensure compliance.

· Communicate surgical instructions, preparation details, and post-op requirements to patients.

· Schedule or call back patients and create new appointments as applicable and resolve scheduling conflicts or delays and escalate issues as needed.

· Coordinate with the hospital or surgical center to schedule procedures.

· Perform additional projects and duties as assigned by management.
