Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Directing physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and restoring function based on each patient's personal capabilities and needs.
• Overseeing the implementation of the care plan by physical therapy assistants, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' functional abilities through advanced diagnostic and prognostic tests, including assessments of muscle, nerve, and joint function.
• Assessing the home environments of patients and providing tailored recommendations to improve their daily living and independence.
• Delivering hands-on physical therapy services as prescribed by a physician, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and treatment involving physical agents.
• Evaluating, fitting, and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices, making recommended modifications to treating physicians.
• Documenting patient progress through comprehensive clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, while complying with OASIS guidelines.
• Participating as an essential member of the interdisciplinary team during case conferences, contributing insights to enhance overall client treatment plans.
• Instructing and guiding clients and their families on the effective use of physical therapy devices and their overall therapy programs.
• Engaging in community resource utilization assessments as needed for enhanced patient outcomes.
• Completing all administrative tasks, including timely documentation of clinical and payroll records as per branch policies.

• Proficient skills in using electronic medical record software, particularly Web PT, to ensure precise documentation.
