Maintenance Technician II

Maintenance Technician IIShift 1 (United States of America)A successful Maintenance Technician II services and conducts repairs on buildings and equipment including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting or plastering as needed. This is a non-exempt hourly position that reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop, evaluate, improve, and document machine and facility maintenance.Support production, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality.Maintain maintenance logs and reports on daily activities.Ensure health and safety policies are followed.Support company policies and procedures, goals and objectives and good manufacturing practices.Critical Skills:Trustworthiness- We earn trust through honesty, integrity and reliability.Adaptable- We are able to maintain effectiveness in a changing environment.Approachable- We are open minded, friendly, engaging, understanding and empathetic; being comfortable engaging in challenging conversations.Curious- We improve the organization by seeking information and knowledge to continually grow and learn and reduce moments of uncertainty and ambiguity.Minimum Qualifications:Highschool Diploma or GED required.Minimum 7 years of proven mechanical experience.2-year technical or related degree preferred and or 4 plus years of manufacturing experience.2 plus years of prior maintenance experienceDemonstrated problem solving skills.A strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills in an industrial environment.Knowledge of manufacturing and machine concepts.Ability to grasp current technology quickly.Ability to prioritize multiple projects.Must be able to operate a forklift.Proven mechanical, electrical, hydraulic knowledge.Stick weld and torch knowledge and ability.Proven forklift and crane experience.Proven blueprint reading ability.Own all necessary or required tools.Proven trouble shooting capabilities.Technical training as required.Proven pneumatic experience.Must be a self starter and require minimal direction.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods standing.Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.Time Type: Full timeJoyce/Dayton Corp. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
