Newscast Production Assistant (Weekday & Weekend Evenings)

$16.5 - $17.68 per hour

Job Description
WSET ABC 13 in Lynchburg, Virginia has an exciting opportunity for a Newscast Production Assistant.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare studio for weeknight and weekend evening newscasts
Maintaining studio
Operation of robotic cameras
Teleprompter operator
Other duties and shifts as assigned
Will be trained on Ross Overdrive to be a fill-in director
Experience:
Experience is not necessary, but education and/or internship in television or related field preferred
Training will be provided
General Hours:
Will be scheduled 32.5 hours per week
Must be able to work weekday evening and weekend evening shifts
Other hours as needed, on occasion
The base hourly compensation range for this role is $16.50 to $17.68. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
