Job DescriptionBoonsboro Country Club is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Events and Communications Manager to join our prestigious country club team. Located in one of the most scenic settings in the region, Boonsboro offers a positive work environment where employees can make a meaningful impact while enjoying a beautiful place to work every day.Essential DutiesClub communications, including social media, newsletter, marketing production and executionWork closely with the Food & Beverage staff, culinary team, and house committee to develop a wide range of memorable activities and events for members throughout the yearPlan, organize and lead age-appropriate programming for our member’s children, including activities, camps and themed events.Benefits401(k) self-participating, self-directed plan with employer match to help you invest in your futureTerm Life Insurance paid by the ClubMedical, Vision and Dental benefits, of which the Club pays a portion of the employee and dependents premiums.Optional coverages available for short term disability, hospitalization, accident and critical illnessPaid time offClub provides an employee meal for every day workedHoliday BonusWorking HoursFull-time, salaried position, with flexible hoursMajority of the hours will be weekdays, but evenings and weekends are expectedJob QualificationsThe Events and Communications Manager plays a key role in enhancing the club’s culture by ensuring that every event and message reflects the high stands and welcoming atmosphere we desire to provide for our membership. To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:Solid understanding of food and beverages and exemplary customer service skillsWorked in and understand private clubs, resorts or event planningClear understanding of event planning, from initial planning to execution of both small and large events, including staffing and cost managementExperience working with children (e.g. camps, childcare, education, recreation program)Stable work history with demonstrated progressive responsibilities.Skill RequirementsComfortable working with a variety of technology and applications to be able to produce newsletters, update web pages, prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEO), and e-mail notices. Examples of the software used at the Club include, but are not limited to, MS Publisher, Adobe, Canva, JotForm, Flipsnack, Jonas and PaycomGreat communication skills, both verbal and written. Examples of writing and promotional materials should be provided.Positive, outgoing personality, who can work without supervision and be a problem solver.Keen eye for marketing and attention to detail are critical to this role.Team player, who can work with the team to develop, create and promote member events to exceed our members’ expectations.Social Media management and graphic design experience is preferred.Educational RequirementsCandidate should have experience in hospitality with an emphasis on event planning. Prior private club experience is not necessary though highly desired.A degree in Hospitality, Communications, or Business is preferred.Associate’s degree (Minimum Requirement) #J-18808-Ljbffr
