Registered Nurse (RN) - OR

Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Shift: 10-hour evenings, 1:00 PM – 11:30 PM Flexibility required for other shifts with advance notice.

Requirements:

• Valid NY state RN license required.
• 3 years of nursing experience required.
• Travel experience required.
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• Mandatory RN competencies: phlebotomy and IV placement.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room setting with a focus on diverse surgical cases.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage patient care effectively.
• Administer medications and blood products as needed while adhering to universal protocols.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in code response as required.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and sterile environment during surgical procedures.
• Support patient positioning and monitoring throughout surgical procedures.

Compliance / Notes:

• Candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted.
• RTO cannot exceed 10 days.
• Background checks conducted on a case-by-case basis.
• Pre-start modules required prior to orientation.
