Administrative Assistant

Administrative Assistant KURTIS CHEVROLET is looking for a motivated, energetic, and organized Administrative Assistant to join our Accounting Department. The excellent candidate will exhibit stellar organizational skills and enjoy interacting with other team members and clients. Must possess proficient computer skills, a professional and friendly demeanor, and be self directed. Automotive knowledge is preferable but not required. Training is available for the ideal candidate. Responsibilities: Balance vendors to statements Contact vendors for missing invoices Write payable checks Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues Maintain vendor files and vehicle inventory Assist with other administrative and accounting functions Prepare tax and title documents Submit all legal transfer work to the DMV Verify that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder paid off before processing title applications Check for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete Prepare payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins Compile and maintain a complete list of all outstanding title work. Reports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles and provides a current list of outstanding titles to the Office Manager at the end of month. Attend seminars and complete required training Cross-train others to handle the daily responsibilities Maintain a professional appearance and a neat work area Requirements: Previous automotive dealership accounting experience preferred Working knowledge of title processes RouteOne and Reynolds & Reynolds experience preferred High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Notary or ability to complete training Ability to communicate effectively verbally in one-on-one situations to customers and other associates Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record Proficient with standard computer software and accounting software Excellent customer service and communication skills Must have great work ethic and be able to work in a fast paced environment Employee Benefits: Medical and dental insurance coverage available Basic life insurance and disability coverage available Paid Vacation and Holidays 401k Employee discounts on vehicle purchases, parts, and service Opportunities for advancement Competitive Pay Kurtis Chevrolet is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
