Senior System Administrator (4th Shift)

Overview Senior System Administrator, Tucson, AZ. Must have an active secret clearance. Full-time, 100% onsite. Travel up to 10% per year. Responsibilities Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment. Apply understanding of Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, AD, server replication methods). Collaborate with a diverse team to support programs with classified information system capabilities. Develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Define computing requirements with program teams and create end-to-end IT infrastructure solutions to solve complex problems. Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements. Install and configure software applications requested by end users. Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures. Operate in a 24x7 environment; personnel may work beyond standard hours as needed. Travel to other US domestic locations as business needs dictate (up to 10% per year). Qualifications Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Experience with Linux or Windows; active Directory, VMware, administration, backup and recovery. U.S. citizenship; active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance (Secret) required prior to start; current clearance required on day 1. Preferred: DoD directive (DoDD 8140/8570) certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) and an OS certification; experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF; data storage (NAS/SAN); VMware vCenter/vSphere/ESX; WSUS/MECM/Exchange scripting. Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
